Making Headway to Uplift of E-working system 

Maritime Administration of DPR Korea is putting spurs on further perfecting its e-working system.

This issue is highlighted as an important output in the five-year plan of Maritime Administration as well as in the five-year strategy for national maritime development (2021-2025).

The IT personnel of the Maritime Administration, with deep appreciation of the requirements of reality that communication and connectivity serve as a main driver for social development, decided on the future direction for development of the existing electronic working system in close consultation with various state entities, and sci-tech institutions.

In this context, several rounds of managerial meetings of MA were held at the end of June.

The meetings reported that the qualitative and quantitative analysis result that e-working system has, for the last years, eliminated duplication of working processes; promoted effectiveness and transparency of the work and significantly decreased expenses for paper use and work time. Then they discussed and finalized stepwise plans for perfecting the existing e-business system befitting an international level system, which further embodied user-friendliness and business-friendliness and conformed to globally-accepted best practices and ISO and IMO standards and norms.
