DPRK Has Lots of Scenic Spots

The DPRK has mountains, plains and rivers which are in harmony. Its climate is temperate. It has beautiful sceneries according to distinct four seasons and it has many scenic spots.

There is Mt. Paektu, the sacred mountain of the revolution in the northern end of the DPRK and Mt. Kumgang, a world-celebrated mountain, and Mt. Chilbo in the east. Mountain ranges reach so near to the sea shore and the East Sea and mountains match so well that Mt. Kumgang is famous in the world. 12 000 peaks of Mt. Kumgang and magnificent views of Mt. Chilbo add to their value as the places of natural beauty on the coast of the East Sea of Korea.

The noted mountains including Mt. Myohyang, Mt. Kuwol, Mt. Jongbang and Mt. Suyang unfold mysterious lands where fragrant woods, fantastic rocks and steep cliffs, twittering of birds in the mountains, spectacular waterfalls, which look as if a white gem were broken into pieces in the sky, and cloud of their spray and rainbow are harmonious with each other.

The DPRK is, indeed, a land of scenic beauty.
